SAP Master Data Specialist

Global industrial technology company is seeking an SAP Master Data Specialist to support master data governance, process improvement, and ERP-related operations in a permanent full-time role in either Munich, Dortmund or Dusseldorf. The position offers hybrid working, a competitive salary, and strong development opportunities. The role focuses on managing and improving master data processes across business systems, with particular attention to SAP and related workflow tools. You will help ensure accurate updates, consistent governance, and smooth coordination between operational teams, IT, sales, finance, and compliance stakeholders. Responsibilities

  • Oversee master data procedures and ensure changes are accurately reflected in SAP and related workflow tools.
  • Review existing master data processes and suggest practical improvements.
  • Support governance and compliance activities, including system, process, and protocol enhancements.
  • Investigate master data incidents and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Update internal authorization rules and support integration with IT systems.
  • Manage annual customer bonus activities with sales and finance stakeholders.
  • Carry out bulk modifications, maintain settings, and prepare master data reports.
  • Schedule and oversee bulk material uploads.
  • Maintain key business partner records, including customer, vendor, bank, material, batch, segmentation, and purchase information data.
  • Contribute to projects linked to the SAP business environment.

Requirements

  • Commercial, data-related, or similar education.
  • Strong command of English and German.
  • Several years of experience with enterprise software systems, ideally in an SAP key-user role.
  • Practical knowledge of SAP SD/MM, TM, or FI/CO.
  • Solid experience with ERP systems, databases, and workflow processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively across different stakeholder groups.
