This global industrial machinery & equipment company is hiring a Master Data Manager in Waldkraiburg to lead global MDM strategy, data governance, and process standardization. Join a manufacturer specializing in industrial processing equipment. As Master Data Manager, you will develop and implement a global MDM strategy, establish group-wide data governance frameworks, and drive process standardization across all business units. Working in a hybrid model, you’ll oversee data quality programs, evaluate MDM tools, and lead change management to promote data as a strategic asset across diverse international teams.
 
Responsibilities

• Develop and implement global MDM strategy and establish group-wide data governance (roles, policies, standards).
• Define, implement, and monitor global data quality metrics, rules, and cleansing programs across all data domains.
• Drive standardization of master data creation and maintenance processes across global business units and subsidiaries.
• Evaluate, recommend, and oversee implementation of MDM/data quality tools (e.g., SAP MDG, Informatica, Talend).
• Act as primary change agent to promote cultural adoption of data as a strategic asset worldwide.
• Analyze and redesign cross-functional business processes with strong ERP understanding (SAP S/4HANA/ECC).
• Build consensus and strong relationships across diverse business units in an international environment.

Requirements

• Degree in Business Informatics, IT, Business Administration, or comparable field.
• Relevant professional experience in a similar MDM leadership position.
• Fluent English communication skills (German is an advantage).
• Strong eye for detail to identify data discrepancies and translate them into scalable processes.
• Familiarity with cross-functional process analysis and major ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA/ECC).
• Practical experience implementing/managing MDM solutions and data catalogs.
• Proven stakeholder management skills with ability to achieve consensus across diverse units
